Habitat for Humanity – 16 march

 

Habitat for Humanity is a global non-profit organization that provides homes for low-income families. Habitat provides a “hand-up, not a hand out” to deserving low-income families who meet their criteria. A group of 10 volunteers from EPIC joined hands with Habitat leads to lay the sod for landscaping all around the house. We first had to use a number of tools such as rakes, shovels, chisels and wheelbarrows to level and clear the ground. Once the ground was ready, we took the rolls of sod and layered them on like carpet!
